As Director of Content & Social Media for DDB EMEA Anneli supports Global key clients (like Volkswagen, Heineken and McDonald’s) and DDB EMEA agency teams furthering their content & social media performance.

The Director Content & Social media works across 50 Tribal Worldwide & DDB EMEA offices to ensure consistently high quality social services are developed optimized and delivered further advancing DDB’s social capabilities. Furthermore, Anneli is responsible for leveraging best practices into actionable and scalable solutions to better meet key client needs and market demands.

Anneli has extensive experience with setting up centralized Global Social Operating Systems (Social Brand Hubs) and guiding decentralized global brands like Heineken, McDonald’s and Royal Canin to a consistent global social presence with the right strategic, tactical and operational frameworks and Global Social Playbooks.

Experience

As Social Strategy Director / Manager Content & Community at DDB & Tribal Amsterdam Anneli was in the lead of all Content & Community related projects. She was responsible for the management of the Content & Community department, development of the department’s services and the consolidation of relationships with future and existing clients of the agency. The team works for clients such as Heineken International, McDonald’s Global and The Netherlands, Royal Canin, Esso, Vodafone and ING.

Anneli has over 10 years of social planning and community management experience. She has worked for several global brands like Heineken, McDonald’s, KLM, Vodafone, ASML and AEGON. On a daily basis she helps companies leverage digital communities and branded content. She’s also responsible for the social crisis communication for both Heineken on a global and McDonald’s on a local level.

Anneli frequently functions as a jury for international advertising award shows (Golden Drum, Ciclope, Spin Awards). She has spoken and moderated at several conferences, and has organized The Social Conference in Amsterdam for three years. She also contributes to the editorial agenda of LBB Online, Emerce and Marketingfacts and had a weekly social media column on BNR, a business news radio station in the Netherlands.

On a personal note:

Anneli is a fitness and health fanatic, has a severe peanut butter addiction and strongly believes she was a competitive eater in her past life.
